RESEARCH TIPS FOR DEL NORTE COUNTY |

The only index available is at the Del Norte County Recorder's office. It is computerized but only includes the section listed in the title block of the map. If the survey had to go 3 miles for control and only listed the particular section that the body of work what completed in then the section 3 miles away will not be in the index for that map.
Assessor parcel maps can sometimes have references to surveys listed on them. Additionally, the planning department has several books of Assessor Parcel maps in which they have hand written in the references to various surveys done in that particular area. Basically, be very careful and exhaust all the possible avenues of research before calling something unrecorded. |
